The Boston Marathon is a special day for so many people, from world-class runners to the children that hand out water and oranges along the race route. Held on Patriots Day, the marathon represents different things to different people. For some, it represents the highest level of competition, for some it marks the beginning of spring, and for others it marks the culmination of a grueling training schedule or the opportunity to raise money for a special cause. For all it is a cause for celebration.
Sadly, after yesterday’s events the Boston Marathon will now mark a tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by yesterday’s events at the Boston Marathon.
