Sonny Vaccaro Points Finger at Duke, UNC
Sonny Vaccaro made news this week when he accused the NCAA of lacking the nerve to punish the likes of Duke and UNC. Eric Prisbell of the USA Today (via the Sports Law Blog) has the story. The story reminds me of the first time I saw Vaccaro speak, an event I covered in the post entitled Is “Amateurism Dead in Collegiate Athletics?“
Notre Dame to Join ACC
The University of Notre Dame has decided to join the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in all sports but football (although the Irish will play 5 ACC football games each season). Paul Doyle of the Hartford Courant writes about how Notre Dame’s move will affect UConn and The Big East Conference.
