Could the XL Center Become a Hockey Destination?

Mike DiMauro of The Day has written an interesting article about the future of Hartford’s XL Center in light of UConn joining Hockey East.   DiMauro talks about refurbishing, rather than rebuilding, the arena and touches upon the potential role of Paul Pendergast, former interim athletic director at UConn and fund raiser extraordinaire.

Student-Athlete Advocate: Let Penn State Footballers Transfer

Ramogi Huma, president of the National College Players Association, has requested that Penn State football players and incoming freshmen receive the option of transferring to another school without restriction.  Typically, student-athletes must receive permission to transfer from their school and then they must sit out a year at the new school before being eligible to compete.  Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Super Bowl Lawsuit Against Cowboys Dismissed, Continues Against NFL

U.S. District Court Judge Barbara Lynn issued a ruling removing the Dallas Cowboys as defendants in the lawsuit over tickets to the 2011 Super Bowl held at Cowboys Stadium.  The plaintiffs’ case will continue against the NFL.  Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk has the story.
