I’ve read a number of articles regarding the investigative report regarding the Penn State scandal and its legal implications, but if you only have time for one, read Michael McCann’s article on SI.com. Mark Dent of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (via the Sports Law Blog) has an interesting piece on whether the NCAA should sanction Penn State, including interviews with attorneys Don Jackson and Alan Milstein, as well as Alan Sack of the University of New Haven.
Report Provides Road Map for Lawyers
Michael Muskal of the Los Angeles Times writes that the investigative report provides those planning to sue Penn State with information that they otherwise could never have obtained, or afforded to obtain. Daniel Filler, a professor at the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University, is interviewed and opined that the report provides plaintiffs’ attorneys with a “road map” of a case against the university.
