Creative Solution to Valuation of Golf Courses
Rob Harris at the Golf Dispute Resolution blog has an interesting post on the Town of Darien’s (Conn.) solution to resolve disputes concerning property valuations for golf courses. Rather than engage in litigation over the value of golf courses (and corresponding taxes), the town has negotiated lower valuations in exchange for agreements to preserve the clubs as open spaces and the first right of refusal to purchase the property. Harlem Ambassadors Sue Harlem Wizards
