UConn Players Invited to NFL Combine

Desmond Conner of the Hartford Courant reports that three UConn players have been invited to the NFL Combine.  Receiver Kashif Moore, defensive tackle Kendall Reyes and kicker Dave Teggart will have the opportunity to impress scouts at the Combine, which will be held from February 22-28 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. 

Beer Pong Suit Bounced From Court

Michael McCann of the Sports Law Blog has posted a story from the New York Post, concerning a lawsuit brought by Alan Berger, who played beer pong at a New York City bar, became intoxicated, and was later injured in New Jersey.  Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lucy Billings found that the bar was not liable for Berger’s injuries.

M.I.A. May Be Liable for Obscene Gesture at Super Bowl

Steve Silver of the Legal Blitz has an interesting post on M.I.A.’s contract with the NFL, in which she reportedly agreed to indemnify the league for any potential FCC fines.  Silver explains and analyzes the concept of indemnification and how it may apply in this case.
