Nick Rieder of the National Sports Law Institute (NSLI) of Marquette University Law School sent me a link to the NSLI’s annual conference, which will be held on October 23, 2009 at Marquette University.
On Friday, October 23, 2009, the National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School will host a conference titled The Evolution of Sports Law and Business From the 20th to the 21st Century at the Alumni Memorial Union, on the Marquette University campus in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Panelists will discuss significant legal and business developments in the sports industry from the founding of the NSLI in 1989 to the present, with a look ahead to the future and our 25th anniversary. The conference will include panels on Olympic/international, professional, college, and high school sports as well as a “catch-all” panel that will focus on common legal issues affecting different levels of sports competition (e.g., tort, Title IX).
