On September 1, 2009, the president and CEO of the American Hockey League (AHL), David Andrews, announced that Bill Scott has been promoted to Director of Hockey Operations

The post had been vacant after Jim Mill left to join the front office off the Minnesota Wild earlier this summer.  Scott will continue to manage to the day-to-day hockey operations of the league, as well as taking on a more active role with collective bargaining issues and franchise operations.

As a long time supporter of Connecticut Sports Law, we wish Bill all the best in his inaugural season as the AHL’s Director of Hockey Operations.
