NCAA Pushes for Vaccaro Records in O’Bannon v. NCAA
After I posted an update on O’Bannon v. NCAA on Tuesday, another story emerged: the NCAA is pushing for the discovery of Sonny Vaccaro’s records concerning his role in the lawsuit. Vacarro has been referred to as an unpaid consultant for the plaintiffs and has worked to add former athletes to the suit. Jon Solomon of the Birmingham News has the story.
Lance Armstrong Drops His Challenge
Citing an “unconstitutional witch hunt” by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, Lance Armstrong announced that he will no longer fight the doping charges against him. Accordingly, he will be stripped of his Tour de France titles. ESPN news services has the story.
