Two UConn football players, cornerback Tyvon Branch and guard Donald Thomas are projected to be drafted in April’s NFL Draft and worked out at last Wednesday’s Pro Day at UConn. Former Huskies Danny Lansanah, Dan Davis and Larry Taylor also participated. Erik Woodring of Middlebury, a Greenwich native, also worked out, which is puzzling considering the NFL’s treatment of UNH quarterback Ricky Santos, which Connecticut Sports Law discussed last week.

NFL Agent Joe Linta, of Branford, is representing Delaware quarterback Joe Flacco, who is expected to be drafted in the second or third round of April’s Draft. Linta’s representation of Flacco is interesting, as Linta has built his career primarily on representing lineman and other blue collar players. Flacco appears to be the first quarterback of note represented by Linta. Here is a highlight film of Flacco on youtube.
